Initial approval

Application for initial Part CAMO approval („AOC CAMO“ and „Non AOC standalone CAMO“)

Application form MAI-FRM-016.

Aircraft types/groups must be set forth in accordance with „Appnendix I to Appendices to AMC to Annex III (PART-66)“ or „EASA TCDS“.


Application must include following:

  • Preliminary audit results, performed by the organization to demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements of Part CAMO, Part M and Part ML;
  • Copy of contract technical parts with Part 145 organization for line and base maintenance;
  • Copy of contract technical parts with subcontracted CAMO organization, in case of subcontracting;
  • Baseline and generic aircraft maintenance programme for acceptance, if there is no CAMO contract with aircraft operator (for aircraft not used for licensed aircraft carrier in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 1008/2008);
  • SMS exposition and other procedures, if apart from CAMO;  

Additionally, following applications are required:

  • CAME approval application form MAI-FRM-007 i MAI-FRM-011;
  • for initial approval, it is recommended not to use CAME indirect approval option, at least until 2-year oversight cycle is performed;
  • Aircraft maintenance approval application form AIRW-FRM-011.
Detail description of Aircraft technical log system must be defined in CAME and in compliance with Operation Manual.

Short description of initial Part CAMO („AOC CAMO“ and „Non AOC standalone CAMO“) approval process:

  • before application, meeting with CCAA has to be arranged to discuss planned scope of work and other organization approval relevant issues;
  • relevant applications to CCAA submitted;
  • terms and deadlines of approval process are laid down by Act on administrative procedures;
  • submitted documentation check, e.g. CAME, ATL, AMP, maintenance contracts, responsible person CV, etc., CCAA will contact applicant for clarification, corrections and/or additional documents;
  • interview with nominated responsible persons;
  • airworthiness review under CCAA supervision, if applicable;
  • organization oversight after CAME corrections are done and all others conditions are met, CAME approval after oversight;
  • organization must submit acceptable corrective actions plan after the oversight;
  • organization must inform CCAA about corrective action performance;
  • all incompliances must be properly addressed before CCAA issue certificate;
  • after the approval organization can start using their privileges defined in scope of work.
