Pilot Owner

Pilot owner is a person who owns or jointly owns the aircraft which he maintains and holds a valid pilot licence with the appropriate type or class rating. Pilot owner may perform maintenance of an aircraft of a simple design with maximum take-off mass of 2730 kg, and of gliders and balloons.

Pilot owner performed maintenance shall be specifically defined and limited in the approved aircraft maintenance programme.

Aircraft maintenance by pilot-owner is subject to application of:
