Aerial work operations of foreign aircraft operators

Aircraft operators from the Member States of the European Economic Area and Switzerland

In accordance with the Regulation (EU) 965/2012, aircraft operators from the Member States of the European Union, Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Switzerland may conduct commercial specialized operations without the approval of the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency, if in compliance with applicable requirements of Part ORO and SPO to Regulation 965/2012 and have submitted to its competent aviation authority a declaration in accordance with ORO.DEC.100.

The operator must send to the Agency notification about the intended operation which must contain information on the type of specialized operations (e.g. aerial photography, survey, skydiving etc.) and on the area and time of operation.

NOTE: Approval is necessary in case of using aircraft not subject to Basic Regulation (EU) 216/2008 (Annex II Aircraft) in accordance with Air Safety Order ASO-2012-003.

Approval must be obtained for cross-border commercial high-risk specialized operations (HR COM SPO). Third country operators

For aerial work (specialized) operations in Croatia third country operator must obtain approval from the Agency in accordance with Air Safety Order ASO-2012-003, Rev.4.

The aircraft operator shall submit an application on application form together with the documentation specified on the request and a fee of 20HRK. The request must be submitted no later than 15 days before the scheduled start of the operation.

NOTE FOR ALL OPERATORS:
Pursuant to para 1, Art. 38 of the Regulation on the Rules of the Air (OG 32/18), VFR flights of public interest (e.g. flights for the purpose of calibration, aerial photography, oral fox vaccination, examination flights, etc.) must be announced and agreed upon with the competent air control of traffic no later than 7 business days prior to commencement of operations to the e-mail address: civaa@crocontrol.hr – Civil Approved Agency.
