Aircraft use of Standard Parts

Part of aircraft shall be considered standard part if regarded as such by the holder of approval of aircraft or component type for which the part shall be used and if all design, production, test and inspection information and uniform identification requirements necessary for demonstration of the part compliance are present in the public domain and published, or constitute part of the officially recognized standard.

Standard parts are defined by:

Commission Regulation (EU) No 748/2012 of 3 August 2012 laying down implementing rules for airworthiness and environmental certification of aircraft and related products, parts and appliances, as well as for the certification of design and production organisations (SL L 224 21.8.2012).
